Course Description:
By the end of this course, the student will have completed an in‐depth scholarly literature review, with individual one‐on‐one mentorship from a Physiology faculty member that will result in a publishable‐quality piece of written work. This written work can be on a current health challenge (i.e. obesity, stroke); topical experimental issues in Physiology that can impact clinical translation (i.e. use of both female and male animals/subjects); translation of new discoveries in Physiology to the clinic (i.e. the glucagon‐like peptides in diabetes or short bowel syndrome); etc., subject to general approval by the course director to ensure physiological context.
