PSL4000Y - Seminars and Graduate Professional Development

Course Description:

This course serves as the main point of contact for students in the MHSc in Medical Physiology. For students to learn about cutting‐edge research in human physiology, they will be required to actively participate in the seminar series organized by the Department of Physiology. These seminars feature invited faculty with expertise in the subject area. They will be participating in the same seminar series as the research stream students (i.e. PSL1000 for MSc students and PSL2000 for PhD students).

Students will complete an Individual Development Plan (IDP) which will identify their career goals and how these are aligned with the program outcomes and undergo professional development training and career exploration. Students will have the opportunity to further develop their expertise in topics of interest from a selection of approved topics in order to better align with their individual career goals.
