Professor of Biochemistry, University of Toronto

Biography:
Dr. Peter Kim is a senior scientist at The Hospital for Sick Children Research Institute and an Associate Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Kim received his B.Sc. from the University of Toronto, and completed a PhD, in Biochemistry at McMaster University in 2003. He then continued his training as a Post-doctoral Fellow at the National Institutes of Health at Bethesda MD in the laboratory of Jennifer Lippincott-Schwartz.
In 2009, Dr. Kim was recruited to The Hospital for Sick Children where he established a laboratory to study the mechanisms that regulate metabolic organelles and their role in childhood diseases.
