Biography:
Dr. Larissa A. Shimoda, PhD (Biomedical Engineering, Marquette University) is a Professor and Director of Research in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She is a pulmonary vascular physiologist studying cellular mechanisms contributing to the pathogenesis of pulmonary hypertension and endothelial cell barrier function. She also serves as the Editor in Chief for the American Journal of Physiology- Lung Cellular and Molecular Physiology.
