Master's Tuition Fee Bursary
The Master's Tuition Fee Bursary is intended for master's students who are beyond the minimum period of registration required for their degree, but still have a small amount of work outstanding, due to reasons and factors that are unanticipated and beyond their control.
SGS Emergency Grant
The Program is intended to assist currently registered, full-time, graduate students beyond their first year of studies who generally are not part of the funded cohort, and who encounter an unanticipated serious financial emergency. It is not considered to be a source of routine or long-term funding.
SGS Emergency Loan
This loan alleviates temporary cash flow problems for students who are expecting to receive a payment from a scholarship or loan in the near future. The maximum loan amount is $1000 and is interest-free until the mutually agreed upon repayment date.
FoM Leave of Absence Stipendiary Fund
For research-stream graduate students in the Faculty of Medicine, the Leave of Absence Stipendiary Fund is available for a one-term Leave of Absence (LOA) due to health issues (i.e. physical and/or mental health challenges) which temporarily impairs a student’s functioning in his/her graduate studies and for parental leave. Funding is available up to $5,000 per student for one term on a one-time only basis.
